These terms govern your use of Tessera. By using the app, you agree to them. If something here is unclear, email hello@tesserapmos.com before you tap accept — we'd rather answer questions than have angry users.

The app

Tessera is a lifestyle and tracking app for women with PMOS — the condition formerly known as PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) — and adjacent hormonal conditions. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. It is not regulated by the FDA, EMA, or any equivalent body, and it does not claim to be.

Medical disclaimer

Tessera — including Maya, the AI coach, the Tessera Score, plate scan results, face scan results, and every insight or suggestion in the app — provides general informational and lifestyle guidance only. None of it is a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified clinician about your health, especially before changing medications, starting supplements, attempting to conceive, or making decisions about contraception.

In particular:

• Tessera does not offer contraceptive guidance and is not a method of birth control.
• Tessera does not interpret laboratory results in a clinical sense.
• Tessera does not prescribe medications or dosages.
• Tessera's cycle predictions are estimates with confidence ranges and are not reliable for family planning.

Subscription & billing

• 7-day free trial, then $19.99/month or $99/year billed via your Apple ID.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions, or via Settings → Subscription inside Tessera.
• The annual plan is non-refundable after the first 24 hours of activation except where required by law.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer the app, attempt to extract API keys or proprietary prompts, scrape AI responses for resale, or use the service to harm yourself or others. Don't impersonate clinicians using Tessera's content.

Account & data

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you log. We are responsible for keeping it private and giving you the tools to export or delete it. Account deletion is one tap from Settings and is irreversible.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do our best, but software is software.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Tessera is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will first be addressed in good faith via hello@tesserapmos.com before any formal action.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect, with the effective date at the top of this page updated accordingly.
